Meet Anna Caroline
Anna is a play on a family name on my side (a lot of Anne’s, and my sister’s middle name is Anne) and Caroline is Steve’s Mom’s name. We don’t really think outside the box when it comes to names, do we? At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter you know? She is who she is, and what I name her really doesn’t matter.

Grandma – Anna is mostly a play on Annie (and the Anne in Fearthainn’s name). And I’m feeling like a real tool for not emailing you before I posted this. But I have some pictures for you (of Callum and Claire) to drop off this week!!
If I’m being completely honest, I am glad she is a girl. I suspect that if she were a boy, I’d want another baby. Isn’t that weird? It always bothered me that Claire didn’t have a sister. This is completely me projecting though, because I couldn’t imagine life without MY sister so when I had a daughter I was actually sad that she didn’t have a sister. Even though I know, rationally, that just because you have sisters and brothers, that doesn’t mean you’re friends with them. Or close. Or tolerate being in the same room as each other.
At any rate, it’s all good!

OMG, she is soooo cute! And I love Anna Caroline!!! It’s a beautiful name!
You know my first girl is going to be Caitlin Marie already, but if I have another girl later, her middle name is going to be Caroline, too. My grandmother’s middle name was Carol, so incorporating that somehow was a must for me, too.

It’s great that Claire will have a sister. I don’t know what I’d do without mine.
When are you due?
April 7th, so you know, I’ll give birth sometime in May….
or April 17th, since I tend to give birth on the day that I am induced and they only let you go 10ish days before induction.
